This is an essential for any mummy.
I received the thermometer on time, via Amazon in the usual Amazon box. Once I opened the box, the thermometer was packaged in its own little box (see photos) with a security seal which had not been tampered with. I have never used a forehead thermometer before, and with having a little child they can come in handy. I was a bit sceptical at how easy it was depicted to be, but actually within a couple of seconds the temperature is taken. I tried it out on my husbands forehead and got an accurate reading. I like the forehead thermometer because of its ease of use and when trying to pin down a wriggling child this is definitely the way forward, you can use the ear thermometer if you want, but I don't see why you would. The thermometer has the following features: an Infrared reader to take the temperature on the head an LCD display which is very easy to read, it has large numbers which are very clear, so if you struggle with your sight like my mum does, it shouldn't be a problem because the display is nice and bright Ear mode Forehead mode So when using the thermometer on head mode you operate it as follows: Place the thermometer on one side of the forehead Press the head button and move it slowly across the forehead whilst holding down the button. You can hear it clicking like its reading the temperature Release the button and read the screen, its that easy!! For the ear You need to take the sensor cover off which I have shown in the pictures Put the probe in the ear canal Press the ear button down once, you do not hold it down The thermometer will beep and you can take it out of the ear and read the display Like I said before I will not be using the ear setting as the forehead setting is so easy. The Thermometer came in a nice little velvet bag with instructions on how to use it. What I thought made it extra special were the kids stickers, when your child isn't feeling well you can perk them up after taking their temperature and give them a sticker. Im not sure if the stickers are all the same but I got excellent/great/get well soon and well done. I thought it was a really nice touch, and know that when my daughter is older I will bust out the stickers to make her feel a little better if she isn't well.
The thermometer is quite light and feels nice in your hand, it doesn't feel like it will slip out like the old mercury thermometers did, well we have come a really long way since then. This will be staying in my handbag all the time along with my daughters nappies definitely an essential for every mummy. If you are looking for a great thermometer in general I would recommend this one. One note, once opened there is a green plastic arrow you need to pull out to activate the battery, just incase you wonder its not working, make sure you take it out first. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
