My 21 Day Detox and Blog

This is beginning of the 21 day blog and detox. I have tried so many of the faddy diets that are out there and my weight is constantly yo-yoing out of control.
Before my pregnancy i was around 8 stone, I am only 5ft tall so for me 8 stone is perfect. Towards the end of my pregnancy i had creeped up to almost 10 stone.
I am two and a half years after my pregnancy and am around 9.08 stones. This for me is too much weight on my body and I can feel my clothes are tight and I am just not happy with myself.
I really don’t want to call this a diet as I would rather make healthy changes for the better and make this more a healthy long term lifestyle than trying to changes things too quickly.
So for the first 21 days, I am going to implement small changes to my lifestyle and purchase the correct ingredients to make yummy dishes at home.
Decrease the amount of sugar and junk food that we eat and just become an all round healthy family.
My husband injured his back three years ago and needs to become more healthy and lose some weight as it will do him good in the long run. I can feel it in my joints and back that if I don’t do something now I will hit a downward spiral and the weight will be more difficult to lose when I am older. I am 35 this year and don’t want to be one of those mums who can’t play with their child as they aren’t fit enough.
So i am always doing things for others and looking out for other people I think its time to put a bit more time and effort into my health, the healthier I am, the better I will be able to look after my daughter and husband.
I will outline in my blog my weight, my diet and the ingredients I use to cook the dishes and my general daily life, so I can prove to the world that you don’t need to spend too much money on faddy diets but changing your lifestyle will help you in the long run.
I am not qualified in diet/fitness or medically trained, this is just my own thoughts and life experience that I am sharing with you.
